Our vision: Securing by geospatial traceability

nXstream Technologies Inc. is recognized as a leader in the geospatial traceability sector. This state-of-the-art approach involves deploying the best solutions on the market to locate and secure key organisation resources such as people, equipment or merchandise.

Geospatial traceability uses different technologies such as GPS, smartcards, small emitting devices that allow mobile identification and location (RFID), wireless technologies (WiFi, Bluetooth) or cellular equipment. This allows for the location in space (in a geospatial manner) of people or objects, and then to trace the different locations where they have been. This information can then easily be displayed through digital mapping software (e.g. JMap, Google Map). This traceability can be managed in two ways: in a “tracking” mode or in a “tracing” mode.

The distinction between tracking and tracing is not always practically explicit. In fact, as it is often the case with nXstream’s technologies, the applications often provide both capabilities, thus adding to the potential confusion.
